IAA's Performing Arts Summer Camp has 4 Sessions each with a different theme. Campers, (ages 7 to high school), will have 4 major components to their camp: Drama, Film, Dance, and Voice. Each session the students will work together to make a short film that will premiere at the camp showcase and rehearse 4-5 musical theatre songs with choreography, scenes, and narration which they will perform at the camp showcase. Every camper is in the show! No experience necessary.
Our camp is for kids who want to work hard and learn a lot while having fun! We have a pretty intense schedule, so this camp is not for someone looking for a chill camp experience. Our kids come back year after year because they are so proud of how much they accomplish each session with us. The camp show* is the 2nd Friday of the session at 6:00 p.m. Campers stay with us all day on show day.

Business Review
I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT OUR DAUGHTER IS ENJOYING THE CAMP IMMENSELY. WE ARE SO IMPRESSED WITH THE PROGRAM - ALL THE KIDS SEEM TO BE SO HAPPY WHEN WE PICK THEM UP AT 4:30. I DON'T THINK SHE HAS ENJOYED A SUMMER PROGRAM THIS MUCH - THANK YOU AND YOUR TEAM FOR THE HIGH LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT WITH OUR CHILDREN! BRAVO!

THIS FILM PROGRAM IS AMAZING! MY SON BEN HAS DONE FILM CAMPS IN LOS ANGELES AND WITH OTHER PLACES, BUT HE’S LEARNED MORE IN ONE YEAR WITH KEVIN LUCERO LESS AT IAA, THAN ALL OTHERS PUT TOGETHER. HE’S TALKING ABOUT DIFFERENT DIRECTORS, FILM TECHNIQUES, ETC. THE WHOLE RIDE HOME. HE LOVES WORKING ON THE SCRIPTS TOO!

I CAN’T OVERSTATE HOW IMPORTANT IAA HAS BEEN TO OUR DAUGHTER’S GROWTH! MS. DANA HAS CREATED AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE OUR SHY DAUGHTER FELT SAFE TO PARTICIPATE AT HER LEVEL OF COMFORT. THEY INSTINCTIVELY KNEW HOW MUCH TO PUSH/ENCOURAGE HER WITHOUT SCARING HER AWAY. SHE HAS PROGRESSED LEAPS AND BOUNDS AND HAS EVEN HAD LEAD ROLES AND SOLOS. WE WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT THAT POSSIBLE A FEW YEARS AGO. HER INVOLVEMENT IN THE PROGRAM HAS HELPED HER TREMENDOUSLY IN SCHOOL TOO. HER CONFIDENCE HAS SOARED! BOOK REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS HAVE BEEN NO PROBLEM AND HER TEACHERS ARE SURPRISED AT HOW WELL SHE CAN PRESENT. THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE I HAVE SEEN WITH IAA VERSUS OTHER THEATER PROGRAMS IS THEIR PRIMARY FOCUS IS ON THE GROWTH OF EACH CHILD. THEY, OF COURSE, PUT TOGETHER TOP NOTCH SHOWS, BUT THEY SWITCH AROUND WHO GETS MAJOR ROLES AND FIND CREATIVE WAYS TO MAKE THE ENSEMBLE ROLES INTERESTING. I CAN’T RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM ENOUGH!
