Skunk and Badger
Skunk & Badger is the latest installment of KidsSeries, Lifeline Theatre’s long- standing programmatic series for children. Each KidsSeries brings a children’s book to life through stage adaption and includes in-school residencies which focus on ensemble-based creating and performing. KidsSeries also includes school-day matinees, outreach events at local libraries, and opportunities for delving deeper into the production with the program Stories Come Alive!
For the Museum Enthusiasts
Make a Difference! The Harvey L. Miller Family Youth Exhibition at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center Kids and students visit FREE through April 14th. Reserve your Spring Break Tickets!
A highly interactive space where hands-on activities for kids ages 8-12 foster leadership skills, empathy, self-esteem, and positive decision-making. This exhibition uses the tenets of character education – trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship – to help visitors learn what they can do to be Upstanders and affect positive change in their world. Although designed with visitors ages 8-12 (grades 3-6) in mind, the exhibition and its themes resonate with visitors of all ages.
Volo Auto Museum
There is so much to see, from vintage and muscle cars (available for purchase), to Warner Bros. and Disney galleries, and cars from so many movies. For even more fun, visit over 30 animatronic dinosaurs in the Jurassic Gardens. The Jurassic Gardens also has a Rapture Pen Arcade, and Dino-Dig. The Volo property also has an outdoor playground, and an onsite pizza place with animatronic entertainment. There are two Princess-Superhero Days over Spring Break (March 23 and 30th), extreme remote control car racing on the 24th, magic shows on the 25th, balloon twisting on the 26th, face painting on the 27th, an escape room on the 28th, and more.
