Publisher's Column - February 14, 2020 & Heart Shaped Pizza

By Lindsay Keller, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Skokie, Niles, Park Ridge, and Far Northwest Chicago February 14, 2020

I was trying to finish up this week's newsletter last night and I almost fell asleep at my computer. My fingers were still on the keys but my eyes were taking super long blinks and I was starting to doze. So I closed my computer and went to bed.

Today is Valentine's Day, but Valentine's Day can be about self love and self care too. Make sure you're taking care of yourself. If you don't have enough energy to make dinner tonight, go ahead and order your family a heart shaped pizza and call it good. Pop in a movie. Take a break. You've got this! (That might have been just as much a pep talk for myself as it was for all of you.)

And if you're looking for a heart shaped pizza tonight, check out these five local places:

  1. Chicago's Pizza
  2. D'Agostino's
  3. Giordano's
  4. Jet's Pizza
  5. Lou Manalti's

I'm sure there a lot more places serving heart shaped pizza tonight, but this is a start. Happy Valentine's Day!
