Celebrate July 4th in Skokie, Niles, Park Ridge & Far NW Chicago!

Independence Day is just around the corner and there are so many events to choose from! Think parades, festivals, picnics and fireworks. Here's a list of what's going on in Skokie, Niles, Park Ridge and Far Northwest Chicago. Be sure to check the links for details, updates and possible rain dates before you head out.

July 3, 2019

Morton Grove Days will take place July 3 - 6th @ the American Legion Memorial Civic Center, 6140 Dempster St, Morton Grove, IL 60053. Enjoy live music, food and drinks, carnival rides games. On July 4th, there will be a parade at 2:30 pm and fireworks at dark.

3rd of July Fireworks Celebration starts at 6:30 pm @ Maine East High School, 2601 Dempster St, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Bring a picnic, join the park staff for a dance party, and enjoy a fireworks show!

Independence Day Fireworks will start at dusk @ Ridgemoor Country Club, 6601 W Gunnison St, Harwood Heights, IL 60706. Dunham Park at 4638 N Melvina in Chicago is a popular viewing area. Bring a blanket or chairs to sit on.

July 4, 2019

4th of July Parade & Celebration runs 8:45 am to 2 pm starting at Notre Dame College Prep (7655 Dempster St., Niles, IL 60714) and ending at Grennan Heights (8255 N Oketo Ave, Niles, IL 60714). The parade will travel south on Ozark Ave to Main St, then west to Harlem Ave, south to Monroe, and west to Oketo. The celebration at Grennan Heights will include inflatables, a water play area, pony rides, games, face painting and more!

60th Annual July 4 Kiddie Parade starts at 9:15 am (registration at 8:50 am) @ Hodges Park, 101 Courtland Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Kids can dress up themselves, their pets, bikes and wagons and join the parade. This year's themes include Olympic heroes, Olympic sports and traditional 4th of July symbols. Ribbons will be awarded by age group for best individual and group dress.

4th of July Parade starts at 9:30 am @ Palmer Elementary School, 5051 N Kenneth Ave, Chicago, IL 60630 in the North Mayfair Neighborhood. After the parade there will be games, prizes, music, face painting, refreshments and more!

Edgebrook Community Associatio 4th of July Parade & Picnic will start at 11 am at the firehouse (6424 N Lehigh Ave, Chicago, IL 60646), travel north to Hiawatha Ave, and end at Wildwook Park (6950 N Hiawatha Ave). The picnic starts at 12 pm and will include ice cream from the Chocolate Shoppe, music by The Country Doctors, games, prizes, and bouncy houses.

4th of July Parade begins at 12 pm at Oakton Community College (7701 Lincoln Ave, Skokie, IL 60077) travels northwest on Lincoln Ave to Niles Center Rd, northeast on Niles Center Rd to Oakton St, and east on Oakton St ending at Oakton Park.

3-D Fireworks Festival starts at 5 pm at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton St, Skokie, IL 60077 and fireworks will take place at dusk. There will be food, drinks, live music, games and more. The first 10,000 people will get 3-D glasses for the fireworks show.

Rockin' In The Park - Lisa McClowry "Rock the 80's" starts at 7 pm at Parkway Bank Park, 5501 Park Place, Rosemont, IL 60018. This is part of the Rockin' In The Park concert series. Food and drink will be available for purchase and there will be fireworks after the show.

4th of July Twilight Concert and Fireworks will start at 7:30 pm at Clark Street Beach, 1811 Sheridan Rd., Evanston, IL 60201. The Palentine Concert Band will perform at 7:30 pm and fireworks will start at 9:30 pm. Just tune your radio to 90.5 FM.
